Learn and Share | School Planning
We know we make better decisions to support student learning when we build understanding and work together. That’s why we’ll be sharing information about school planning and asking you to share your perspectives.
During this engagement, you will have the opportunity to:
- Learn About
- School planning, which includes the school development plan, school budget and school fees
- How the school development plan sets the overall focus and direction for a school to improve student learning outcomes
- How the school budget provides funding to implement our school development plan
- School fees and why they are necessary
- Participate
- Participate in our virtual school council meeting (MS Teams) on Wednesday, January 14th at 6:30pm to learn more about school planning. There will be an opportunity to provide feedback at this meeting.

We’ll send you a link to the survey, our school development plan and school budget and fees information when it’s available. We will also post it on our school website.
Powerschool App – a reminder to families and students that the PowerSchool App is a 3rd party app and is not supported by the CBE. For the most accurate up to date information please use the web browser on your computer or device. With all school based users preparing for the release of student report cards for the first semester, the number of users accessing the application is creating issues.
Graduation D2L Shell is now open!! Information is being added and updated on a regular basis. Please have your students view the page and ensure their graduation gown has been ordered by filling out the form in D2L. Reminder to parents you will need to use the student’s log in information to access D2L.
Second Semester Timetable Changes
The deadline to make changes to semester 2 timetables is Friday, January 23 at 1:30 p.m. Timetable changes must be made in person in Student Services. Students can either book an appointment with their school counsellor or “drop in” during Flex or lunch time to make these changes. Priority is currently being given to those students with 'See Counsellor' in their timetable. PLEASE COME BY STUDENT SERVICES AT DROP IN TIMES TO DISCUSS WITH YOUR COUNSELLOR ASAP!
Semester 1 ends on January 23rd. Due to the cancellation of Diploma Exams by Alberta Education, there will be no exam break for students this January. The next Non Instructional days in the CBE calendar are January 26 and 27th. There will be regularly scheduled classes for the month of January.
Students arriving late or leaving early need to check in at the main office. Thank you for being proactive and sending us a message letting us know about appointments – please remind your students the office still needs them to come in to the office to confirm arrivals and departures.
