The MainStage production of Lost Girl, by Kimberly Belflower, hits the stage December 9 at 4:30 pm and Dec 10 and 11 at 7:00 pm. It is a 90 minute show with no intermission. The Art 20/30 students would like to invite you to check out their collage mixed media art show: Between Memories & Dreams. They have been working with all kinds of found imagery to create detailed collage (cut and paste) masterpieces to share. You can view the Art at school in the mezzanine space near the theatre entrance beginning next week. The show runs alongside the Mainstage production of 'Lost Girl' from Dec 9-11. Admission to view the gallery is FREE.
Student Union is excited to announce the launch of this year's Tree of Giving, a meaningful way for our community to support local families during the holiday season.
Beginning Thursday, December 4, a Christmas tree will be set up in the Learning Commons. Students are invited to choose an ornament from the tree, sign it out, read the gift request written on it, purchase the requested item, and return the unwrapped gift with the ornament attached. We are asking that all the gifts be returned by Tuesday, December 16 so that all donated gifts can be delivered to families before our winter break.
If your family is interested and able to participate, we would greatly appreciate your support. Even small contributions make a big difference in brightening someone’s holiday. Thank you for helping us spread kindness and care within our community.
ELAA (Alberta post-secondary institutions) will also be visiting for a fair on December 3 during the day. Students will be able to visit the booths and ask questions. This event is for Bowness students only.
Photo retakes have been scheduled for December 3rd. Any student who missed having their photo taken for school ID can have their photo taken. Lifetouch will also be doing retakes for photo packages from the beginning of the year. Lifetouch will NOT be replacing ID cards if a student has already had one issued. Photos will be in the HPAD performance lab and students will be called down by grade.
