Wednesday, April 22nd is the 5th annual Bowness High School/Community Spring Cleanup. Organized by the Bowness Students’ Union, it is a worthwhile opportunity to give back to the amazing community and neighborhood that we live, work and/or attend school in. We would like to do our part to keep our community welcoming and clean. Through our participation in this event, we hope to encourage leadership in our students and create positive agents of change in our school community. Individual teachers and their classes will be able to volunteer to take part in this activity, and students will be supervised directly by their classroom teacher. The students will be supplied with garbage bags and gloves and will be walking as a group with their teacher to a variety of different pre-determined parks and locations within walking distance from the school. Everyone is encouraged to dress in Earth Day colours as part of our spirit week. Students should be dressed and prepared for the weather. In the case of inclement weather, teachers will not take their students out. Thank you in advance for your support!
